Rules and trophy for new tournament unveiled
The rules for the new Anglo-Spanish Super League were today announced in a press conference. The tournament, organised by UEFA, pits the 6 best English teams against Spain's two best in Real Madrid and Barcelona.
According to the press conference, the teams will be in an 8 team league with each team playng each other twice, home and away. The teams, which include moneybags Man City and champons United, will also have to name a 22-man squad before the league begins, with any other player being played resulting in a five point penalty. There will also be no play off stage, with the team at the top after all the league games being crowned champions.
The press conference also unveiled the new silver trophy that the captain of the champions will lift, but who will that be?
