Sampson Sacked - Hendry Hired

Today Northampton Town sensationally axed boss Ian Sampson, replacing him with Colin Hendry almost instantly. A message on the club website read "We would like to thank Ian for all of his hard work during his time at the club, and we wish him well for the future. His contract was compensated fully, and the club made the decision purely on football matters."
A few moments later, Colin Hendry was publicly announced as manager at a press conferance. In the first of his few question's, Hendry claimed "Northampton are a fallen giant, and he will help the club get to where they should be."
Hendry also stated that he know's who will go, and will sell the player's he deems surplus to requirements, but will replace them with able youngsters. Some expected casualties are Steve Guinan and Leon McKenzie.|||

Transfer Update

Leon McKenzie has departed Northampton Town after finding himself out of Colin Hendry's plans. The striker, who only moved to the club in the summer, has moved to Konyaspor for a fee rumoured to be in the £300,000 region. The player signed a 1year contract at the Turkish club.|||The only thing I know about this club is that they beat us in the Carling Cup this season I think :)
sign Leo Bertos he is awesome :)|||Yeah, they beat you :)
And depends if he'll fit into my team, although if he can play on the right I'll sign him.|||Great updates, god knows how Northampton beat Liverpool because they raised their game against us in the Fa Cup and we beat them comfortably :)
Good luck!|||Bertos is a right mid :)
he is awesome :)|||Thanks for the support. Wedderburn is a beast in the middle. First match or transfer update later on.
